"Friendship Torn Apart!"
While this tagline for WrestleMania VIII may have been referring to one of our two main events, it's just as appropriate to describe the build for this episode's focus: Bret Hart vs Roddy Piper. For the penultimate prize in the game, emotions are high even if the match's placement on the card isn't.
Roddy, the champ, is reluctant to battle such a close family friend. Bret, the challenger, knows that if they don't put everything they have into this fight, then the title means nothing.
Who will leave with the victory? Who will leave a champion?
Our guest this week to break down all of the action is Nathaniel McDonald (@lentilstew)

This week's episode is a return to the world of CMLL and the stakes couldn't be higher - it's Lucha de Apuestas with both competitor's beautiful, flowing locks on the line. This is the main event of CMLL's Homenaje a Dos Leyendas 2016, and we're watching the incredible Volador Jr battle the ageless Negro Casas.
Oh, and Tirantes is there too. Yay.
Joining your hosts this week to help apply the (patent pending) STAR Rating system to this match is Brandon Huggett!

At the halfway point of season 7 your boys are once again turning their critical eye toward NXT, this time discussing a match that marked an historic first in World Wrestling Entertainment: NXT Women's Champion Asuka defends her title against Sanity's Nikki Cross in the first ever Last Woman Standing Match.
This dangerous stipulation will test the mettle of both woman and find out which will be able to take a beating and continue, and which won't be able to answer the official's ten count. While the chaos of the situation seems to favor NXT's Twisted Sister, The Empress of Tomorrow is in the middle of a dominant undefeated streak that seems impossible to break.
And donning the 4th lab coat for this week's application of dubious scientific methodology is this episode's special guest Brian Moyer!

Tell me doctor, where are we going this time?
Is this the 50s or is it Dominion 6.11 in Osaka-Jo Hall?
Oh what's that? It's EXACTLY Dominion 6.11 in Osaka-Jo Hall? Then we must be firing up our flux capacitor and travelling back to 2017 because on this week's episode your boys are having a critical look at the underappreciated junior heavyweight classic between champion Hiromu Takahashi and challenger KUSHIDA.
Will KUSHIDA be able to overcome the pains of his humiliating 116 second defeat to Takahashi that spring, or is TIME UP for KUSHIDA's run as the ace of the junior heavyweight division?
Sliding in on a hoverboard to help your boys analyze the match is director Zack Sekuler! (https://www.zacksekuler.com/)

On this week's episode, your boys diving head first into the decidedly UNcontroversial world of Inoki-ism. Love it or hate it, you absolutely can't deny that it was a thing that happened.
Kensuke Sasaki, seconded by his wife and TIA alum Akira Hokuto, defends his IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against "Big in Japan" Bob Sapp, who comes to the ring surrounded by members of Makai Club, the Inoki-obsessed stable that he's just joined.
Will the former Power Warrior be able to defeat the Bad Boy, or will those dastardly Makai Club members prove too big a hurdle for the champ to overcome?
Joining us via the TIA Hotline is returning guest Ana Espinoza! (@espinoza_ana)

For you, the day Harley Race and Terry Funk graced your venue was the most important day of your life. But for them, it was Friday. Friday, July 1st, 1977 to be exact.
It's a two out of three falls contest which sees NWA World's Heavyweight Champion Harley Race defending against the Texas' own Terry Funk. It isn't the first time these two titans have squared off, and it won't be their last. Not by a long shot. In a fight like this, with both men so familiar with one another, it truly feels like no man has the upper hand.
Importantly, active wrestler Nick Kozak has been chosen by the NWA booking committee as tonight's official. With his unique brand of referee, we're sure to get a definitive conclusion to this highly anticipated matchup.
And of course, occupying the guest's chair this week and looking resplendent in his TIA lab coat is Matt Morris!

Season 7 begins with a classic championship match from the Ruthless Aggression era. It's pre-sword-&-grenade tattoo Brock Lesnar defending his Smackdown World Championship against everyone's favorite liar, cheater and thief, Eddie Guerrero!
Eddie has the momentum behind him, and a redemption story that's as much rooted in his rise up the rankings as it is about moving past old demons, but he has a 26 year old beast of a champion in front of him looking to spoil this underdog story.
And hanging over all of this, like a goateed Sword of Damocles, is one Bill Goldberg who's beef with Lesnar threatens to throw the entire contest into disarray. Who will leave No Way Out and head to WrestleMania 20 as champion?
As always, we are joined in the lab this week by friend of the pod Courtney Mattox who will help us apply some soft science to our analysis of the match.

On this brand new off-season offering: your boys vamp about their favorite and not-so-favorite wrestler nicknames. Past, present and future, it's fun and unfocused!
Then, Chuck has put together another set of lists...
On one ledger: a list of silly wrestler names who have appeared on the PWI top 500. On the other ledger: a bunch of names Chuck has made up. Can Frank, Joaquin and Tom figure out which is which?

On this week's off-season episode Producer Tom is finally making good on the bet that he lost many, many episodes ago - he's watched "The Jetson's & WWE: Robo-WrestleMania!" and is giving his full report.
Then, Joaquin has grown tired of coming up with bits to open the show, so he's come up with a solution - The Cameo game! Chuck & Tom face off in a game of Joaquin's design, with the winner choosing a wrestler off of Cameo who (fingers crossed) will do a brief intro for the rest of the off-season.
